Computer
Technician
KAB has an opening for one
(1) Computer & Audio/Video Technician in their Palisades Park, NJ
Office.
The technician will be working mostly on computer/server/network
systems, but will occasionally work on audio/video and CCTV systems.
Qualifications:
Basic Computer Qualifications:
Hardware/software troubleshooting experience.
Installing and maintaining networks.
Windows server
environments.
Removal of spyware and viruses.
Installation of servers and network equipment.
Racking equipment and physically moving hardware.
Running cable through buildings.
Basic Audio/Video Qualifications:
Setup of home theater components.
Mounting TV's on walls.
Running cable through buildings.
Setting up audio systems.
Basic CCTV Qualifications:
Mounting and focusing cameras both interior and exterior.
Programming DVR's.
Running cable through buildings.
Additional Qualifications:
US Citizenship. We do not sponsor work visas.
College degree in technical field or technical trade school degree.
Minimum 1 year experience in computer support.
Proven experience providing effective and professional communication
addressing moderately complex technical issues via telephone, email, and
person-to-person.
Demonstrated customer awareness, strong written and verbal
communication skills.
Provide excellent customer service.
Experience in desktop support, IT concepts, and help desk software.
Proven ability to think and troubleshoot logically, and act decisively
in critical situations.
Experience with Microsoft Office Products, Internet Explorer, and
Windows.
May be some travel.
May require after hours work.
Will be using ladders, and heights may exceed 20 feet. Average height
may be 6 feet.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years experience computer hardware/software support, and
experience with audio/video and CCTV.
Technical certifications such as A+, MCP, MCSE, CCNA.
Windows Server 2003, 2008, Windows XP, Windows 7, IE 6-9, Terminal
Services, VPN software, Microsoft and other commonly used commercial
products (including Office 2007 Suite), and strong Microsoft Outlook
skills.
Account administration and maintenance.
